My set of 15 DVDs arrived last week and I've been cramming in as much time as possible to work my through the first three blue discs.

These contain the fundamentals of search engine optimisation and are absolutely fascinating.

The dynamic of Brad & Andy discussing with each other rather than talking to the viewer makes the videos really easy to watch and are akin to viewing an extensive documentary.

Some of what I've learned is very new, some is familiar and some is absolutely mind-blowing.

Also interesting is that many of the techniques that I've heard dismissed in articles over the last couple of years are still taught in this course. There are reasons given to explain why they may be less useful than in the past, but crucially they are still a valuable part of optimisation.

The content exchange system has just started. I can't say much about it, but it looks extremely clever and I'm looking forward to seeing its effects.

Also recently announced, is a nice example of over delivering. Brad & Andy have put together a print manual to go with the course that will be shipped out at no extra cost. A complete transcript off the DVDs is also being prepared.

It'll be a week or two before I get stuck in and start optimising in earnest. I honestly can't wait.
