Last Friday I spent the day at the Focus 4 The Future Seminar in Birmingham.

I listened to seminars by Robert Puddy, Martin Avis & David Watson. I also got to meet plenty of very pleasant and enthusiastic internet marketers including Martin Salter, Steve Ayling, Chris Davidson & Daniele Protti.

The highlight, however, was undoubtedly, volunteering to sit in the hotseat and have my website publicly shredded by Robert Puddy, Martin Avis & John Taylor. My homepage has needed re-doing for ages and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get this quality of feedback :-)

The criticism was blunt, but made an awful lot of sense.

I've now got a good idea of how I want to redesign my homepage. Look out for some drastic changes coming soon! I'll also do a mini re-run of the mistakes that were pointed out as there's plenty to be learned from the experience.

In short then, the seminar was a lot of fun, well worth the investment and is highly recommended to anyone who is running (or trying to run) a home business.
