Pop-Ups That Aren't Annoying?
I've moved all of my blogging activity to The Lucid Blog.
You can visit my new home at:
www.thelucidblog.com
After seeing them on other peoples websites I was won over, for three reasons:
1) They looked smart
2) They didn't annoy me
3) I actually found myself reading the text in the pop-up
I've started using these pop-ups on The Nettle Magazine and on PayPershop. You can see an example of the pop-ups at:
http://www.thenettle.com
I had some problem installing the pop-ups on PayPerShop, but the support forum was very helpful in fixing the problem (which was due to a style sheet conflict).
If you would like to try these for yourself, click below:

More recently, a software version of the technology has been released. I haven't tried it, but it should be fine if you're looking for a one-time outlay, rather than a subscription-based model.
You can check out Focus Generator at the link below:

It's worth a look. If you don't use pop-ups because you think they're evil, this might just change your mind.
