Despite winning the junior version of the US Open 12 months ago, Andy Murray has not been granted a wild card into the senior tournament due to begin next week.

Andy Murray will look to enter the tournament through the qualification process after doctors assued him that his shoulder injury should not prevent him from playing.

After his 2nd round defeat to Safin in the Cincinatti Masters, Andy has risen in the World Rankings to 122nd.
