I've moved all of my blogging activity to The Lucid Blog.

Don't you really hate ads with unrealistic hype.

I found an absolute beauty today:

Dear David,

Yes, You Read it Right! Your Realistic First-Year Income Potential As YOU Work from Home is between $200,000 and $500,000!

Before I even read another word, I know the rest of the advert is going to be absolute trash! Sure the potential may be there, as it is for all businesses, but "REALISTIC"?

Realistic for a new business, home or otherwise is to still be operating after a year. If you've managed to break even it should be considered a success.

It's copy like the above that give people unrealistic expectations and cause them to miss the success they are experiencing.

To quote Wyclef, "Don't believe the hype..."
