Do those words send a shiver down your spine?

Last time Paypershop Ltd moved hosts I was pretty new to the business and the internet in general so I didn't really follow the process.

This time, I've had to be much more involved.

We're moving six domains in total, but the bit that's really taken it's toll is moving the MYSQL databases.

When we change the nameservers, for a couple of days visitors will either be getting the new server or the old server and we can't finish up with two sets of databases with differing content.

The DB move appears to have been a success, so as soon as we are happy that the new server is functioning ok, we can change the name servers and put the whole thing behind us.

And, in case you were wondering, we are moving from DSVR to Hostgator for reasons of cost and support.
