How smart do you want your customer's to be?

I've moved all of my blogging activity to The Lucid Blog.

I've heard it said that RSS subscribers are better customers because they are more sophisticated and more likely to try out new products.

However, according to the latest email from Michael Green, founder of the "How To" marketing forum, having customers that are shall we say, "less than sharp", can be financially rewarding too.

Last week Michael told his subscribers that he had a limited number of copies available of his upgraded "Create and SELL Products ONLINE toolkit" that he was selling at the old price before it hiked it up by $100.

Such was the panic to snap these up before they increased in price, no fewer than six people bought the product before realising they had already purchased it on a previous occasion.

That's right. As the subject line of the email proclaimed, it's "So good, they bought it twice!"

Now, I admit, that may say as much about how memorable the product was as it does about the IQ of the customers.

Still... I can't help wondering if Michael sells solo ads.
