Truth About Doublers Update - 18 November
I've moved all of my blogging activity to The Lucid Blog.
You can visit my new home at:
www.thelucidblog.com
First of all, the stats:
Visits to the article in the last seven days: 4,216
All-time visits to the article: 5,485
All told, a pretty good week then.
Also for the first time... some negative feedback. I was expecting to get loads of this but, so far, it's been virtually nothing but supportive comments from individuals who feel the same way about these fraudulent programs.
The first one comes from a forum post at the www.netmarketingforum.com and includes the comment:
"Someday I hope you write an HONEST e-zine! On something you ACTUALLY KNOW! And NOT throw un-reasearched [sic] crap in peoples faces! "
In my article I avoided discussing whether or not ponzi schemes are unworkable because, in my opinion, it is a given. It is like arguing whether or not the world is flat!
Ponzi schemes will eventually either fail or develop a cycle time longer than the life-span of the average human.
Actually, I have no problem debating ponzi schemes, just not when it descends into a juvenile name-calling contest.
Moving on...
I had a very nice email from a gentleman who thought my article was a little extreme:
"no-one on this Earth is going to make me believe that a program that's paid me over $2000 (from $200) is a bad"
In fairness the email was very pleasant and I appreaciated the feedback. It does remind me, however, that a lot of people out there have a basic understanding of doublers but simply haven't thought it through.
When you make a lot of money from a doubler, it must feel great. But only if you don't stop to think about the people that have been robbed to pay you.
Interestingly it has been suggested on two occasions that I cannot write sensibly about Doublers until I have tried them.
Easy answer. I don't have to rob a bank to know that it's a crime.
I've done my research, listened to the comments of others and "The Truth About Doublers" is the product of that work.
Finally... we have a genuine, bonafide, Doubler OWNER!
Again posting at www.netmarketingforum.com, this individual is pleasant, friendly and owns some nice looking programs in addition to his Doubler.
As expected, however, no explanation is offered to explain how a ponzi scheme could ever be successful. Of all the comments this person made, one stood out to me. Talking about the owners of Doubler programs:
"I also think that most of them think that they have licked the "must fail" thing. I think I have."
So maybe it all boils down to delusion or a misunderstanding of the basic mathematics behind ponzi schemes.
If you really believe you can make a ponzi scheme "work", then you do not understand how these programs operate.
Look at it this way. The story goes that if you place a grain of rice on the first square of a chess board and then place 2 on the next, 4 on the next, 8 on the next and so on...
There would not be enough grains of rice in the world to complete your task. The reason being is that 2 to the power of 64 is approximately 18 million, trillion. Or a number with 20 digits.
To make a ponzi scheme work, you need an infinite amount of money. My grasp of global of economics is rudimentary but, I have a feeling that if there were an infinite amount of money in the world, money would be pointless.
OK. Now my favourite part. The following people have supported this campaign during the last seven days.
Shelley Penney has posted the banner on several pages at www.penneypalace.ws
If you want to link the banner you can do so using the following code:
Luisa Salcedo has posted the article at http://www.biztoolreview.com/ and featured it in the Business Tool Review ezine. Thanks also for the image help ;-)
Tim Whiston has linked to the article in his ezine, www.weeklynetworker.com
Paul Wainwright has provided me with some complementary credits for promoting the article at the Hillbillihits traffic exchange, tdhcbanners and rx2sbanners.
John Delavera of http://www.software4profit.com/ has pledged to feature the article in his next newsletter.
Amy Mossel of Your Membership Community and Commentary ezine has also featured the article in last weeks newsletter.
Again, I must say how grateful I am to everyone who has helped out. It's good to know there are still plenty of people out there who are pleased to make an honest living and help others do the same.
OK, I know I'm going a little "House of the Prairie", so I'll move on... quickly.
In the next seven days I will be making more article submissions and then I will be targeting the Doubler owners themselves. Should be fun!
Remember, if you want to help support the campaign, you will find lots of suggestions at:

Best wishes.
