Google Desktop Search - True Story: I was at an exhibition yesterday and one of the exhibitors commented that we'd not replied to some emails he'd sent months and months ago.

The next day, I opened up Google Desktop Search and searched for the name of the individual. Google instantly found the email he'd sent and our reply.

Don't know why it wasn't received but, a good example of the usefulness of this new Google feature. Sure, I could have done a search in Outlook, but I'm pretty sure it would have taken longer than the 5-10 seconds it took to open Google, type the name and view the results.

I agree. Google Desktop Search is lighting fast, but it is limited by the file types it can search, which I hope they rectify soon.
