I've moved all of my blogging activity to The Lucid Blog.
You can visit my new home at:
www.thelucidblog.com
Firstly, I came across Google's beta for Desktop Searching. This facility, allows you to do Google-style searches of your PC and early impressions are good.
If you want to try it out:
http://desktop.google.com/
Secondly, I got the latest catalogue from Firebox yesterday and it had a weird looking item written in reverese. Holding it up to a mirror revealed the web address:
www.perplexcity.com
Very strange! If anyone know's anything more than about this, I'd be interested to know.

just be careful about security. it saves copies of your IM conversations, so those are no longer gone once you sign off. it also saves some aspect of website you've gone to. i forget exactly what it was, but i know it can compromise online banking. hope this helps.

You can select what is included or excluded from the desktop search. If you don't want certain areas indexed you can deselect them before the indexing begins.
Thanks for the link, Tom. Very strange, although I'm a bit gutted that I didn't notice the hyperlink in the letter's logo.
None the wiser, yet...
