Hit Exchange News & NetMarketingForum Review

I decided to review these two websites together as they are both the creation of Jon Olson.

Jon Olson has been in the web marketing industry for many years and can boast a spotless reputation.   I defy you to find any reasonable person who can say a bad word about him or his online ventures.

A reputation for honesy and hard work is not something that can be faked.

Hit Exchange News (HEN) bills itself as the “First and Only Hit Exchange E-Zine” and, to it’s credit, this is exactly what it is.   HEN concerns itself with, and only with, Traffic Exchanges.

New releases, breaking news, the top 10 exchanges, tips, tricks and so on.   By carefully focussing on just one aspect of web marketing, each issue is brief, easy to follow and contains no padding.

The downside of focussing on just one aspect of web marketing is that, inevitably, some issues can become a little repetitive.   But this is still the only ezine that forces me to drop everything for a few moments when each new issue arrives.

Part of the reason I have such a soft spot for HEN, goes back to Issue #1.   It came just a few months before Issue #1 of The Nettle and I was impressed by it’s clear, simple and informative approach.

I was immediately motivated to write to Jon and express my appreciation for it and I’m not ashamed to admit that I cribbed a few ideas from the style and delivery for use in my own ezine.

I was also impressed that Jon took the time to write back and thank me for my email.   Good customer service is essential, no matter what your website is hoping to achieve.

What Exchange Did You Find Us On?:

HEN always mentions the NetMarketingForum (NMF) and encourages its readers to drop by.

This forum covers most aspects of web marketing, but what makes it stand out is the quality of its members.

Most own their own website and if you’re looking to network with other webmasters, or simply pick up a few tips, this is the place to go.

You will not find any smooth-talking, suspicious sounding, gurus at NMF, but you will find plenty of straight-talking, down-to-earth professionals who are happy to tell it like it is.

But, if you’re new to the game, don’t be intimidated.   Register an account and post an introduction and I can virtually guarantee you at least half a dozen warm welcomes.

So there you have it.

No affiliate programs.   No hidden agendas.

Just two fantastic resources that I couldn’t do without and I am confident you will love.

Thanks for the websites, Jon.   Now how about something new?
